Spencer has worn many hats including as a AI data scientist at a Fortune 100 company, a technical co-founder at an Edtech startup, and R&D consultant in the military. His PhD specialized in large language models and causal inference for document intelligence, developing multimodal foundational models for millions of priviledged documents inside the government. Spencer also applied econometrics to portfolio analysis to advise federal agencies during his PhD. He received his PhD from Northwestern University and his Bachelor’s degree in engineering from Cornell University.
